After Tjörnekalv was the touchdown. Up with big länsgennakern best ice cream makers and after an in

Home Blog Races Bohus race Færderseilasen GVA Marstrand Big Boat Race Ornö Around Watski Skagerrak TwoStar Tjorn Around the ÅF Offshore best ice cream makers Race (eg Gotland Runt) Tech Boats & Polar Albin Nova J / 109 Fun Prejudices about sailors and their boats Sailing Lang
Nailed it. We have always had difficulty in Tjorn around, even with the Nova where we won many other races. And we have worked hard to gain speed in J / 109 nd, and persisted in that one can sail with bowsprit and gennaker even in our latitudes. So it was great to spike very tough 40-foot class and become the fastest "modern" boat on the classic Tjorn around. Photo: Bo Bergqvist.
Saturday started early. Could not sleep as usual before the race, but went up 6:00 and checked the weather. All quite agree frontal passage with turning from SSW to SO and back again. However, best ice cream makers there were quite a lot of strength, which some believed in 4-7 meters, but SMHI said 6-9 and even more. Well ... the wind anyway.
At 7:30, we were full crew on board. I Pelle Pedersen (hub), Matt Agelii (large), Fredrik Roos (trim), Patrik Hansson (tail), Harald Brøndmo (keyboards), Mattias Bodlund (mast) and Gurra Clock (foredeck)!
Out and check out streams on the buoys around Bratton. A little counter, but not enough for it to determine the route. best ice cream makers We thought the weather reports and decided to try to keep us on the left side of the field initially to see what it gave. A critical step would also be to determine if / when you could stretch south.
Back to the starting area. It was clearly advantageous to start inside the Stenungsön when the brand was closer to the bridge. But as the slowest boat in our starting group, we would not be able to get out on the port side in any sensible way. So we decided to start on starboard buoy to beat us free if it came Yachts and stood to it. And start was above expectation. We timed the entrance good (I was a bit cautious just in time) and were right on the bend at full speed for 2-3 seconds after the shot, but amazingly enough, we also had a good gap in LA that we could accelerate out in. Plenty ...
We could run free half way down towards the bridge before the fast boats started coming up from the port. Then worked hard as phase to find free wind. A little frustrating for a while then we got a little defensive and had to act on other boats, but generally we went smoothly with most others around and just some really fast boats ran away.
At Brattön we chose to go east. Then saw it tough on the west side and some boats to the east of us had better pressure. Moreover, we wanted the left. Drove evenly with a Norwegian 40.7 and an X-40 who chose the same path ... I still had difficulty getting to the proper height, but we found a speed mode that felt ok and that took us to the east before we hit and went south.
Now it had turned a bit and we had high hopes, best ice cream makers but it's always exciting to see what happened with the boats on the other side Brattön. We compared especially with Finn Flyer 36 Manix2 and Salona 37 Capio both of which had split with us and chose the west side. When we saw them we had picked a lot. If it was up on a tilted or that we had a little better best ice cream makers pressure is difficult to say. Generally, we kept a piece out and just went in to Tjorn once (and then we lost it against those who were farther out).
Then we called the famous "laylinen" to tough southward in a good way. We saw the same short 10-15 degrees turn that on Friday to speed sailing, where it came cells with quite distinct twist, so it was fully focused on trimming on all the way down to Rönnäng. Tough but lösamt when we did not lose much especially on whether Manix2 shortly before or Capio who came from behind. Both of these're quick, so they were good references. best ice cream makers Capio tried an robbers by Rönnäng, but it did not pay ...
After Tjörnekalv was the touchdown. Up with big länsgennakern best ice cream makers and after an inital broach so put it where it would. When we looked at the angles so it was impossible to take the short path through Kladesholmen and north when it had become completely flat. We drove instead a pretty hot angle of 150 TWA to keep the momentum in the tricky lake and found a good hole through the basic flak.
Good roll of 10-12 knots for good control. Gassed up Norway's First 40.7 Flash IV who had problems in his jibe north. We did, however, best ice cream makers our perfect at the mark and could roll in the gutter. Good and a little hot angle here with lake and much better in the stern. Topped 15 knots at most and could drive all the way to Björholmen and between time there. Of course it was exciting to see what it was that came out of Kyrkesund and when we first saw IMX-40 Blues and then the Danish X-40 and Hansen best ice cream makers Kracer 40 so we knew we had gone really fast.
After Björhoklmarna it became a rather sad half-attic where we long low and ran into the hedge on Kracern (the little stern wave as they manage to generate), until they
